Would anyone be interested in joining a new team in 2022 in the Monday night veterans competition. The team would be based around the family.
We are looking for players who would like to play with their sons, daughters, partners, parents, siblings, near relatives, etc. The only requirement is that they be over 34 yo. They do not need to have hockey experience.
It is intended to be a social, non aggressive team tolerant of all skill levels.

Your ACT Masters Hockey Newsletter for July 2021: <SCREECH>
As we near the end of our 2021 Quarter 2 it is nice to reflect a little on the beginning, and the relocation of ‘Life Night’ to the first Monday of Quarter 2.
After the games, out on the Lyneham fields, players moved into Pick-up-Sticks for short social evening: a couple of drinks; some nibbles; some draws (lucky door!) and some find-a-ball. This small array of events designed to entertain and to also support a chosen charity.
At Thursday June 24’th HHhockey, Leo made a short ‘at-the-bar’ speech in handing over a cheque to Mr Greg McRoberts, ACT President – ACT & Region Prostate Cancer Support Group, in support of research into the management and treatment of prostate cancer. And now a note of appreciation with respect to our club’s donation, which is appended, has been received from Cancer Council ACT.

Letter from Craig (31/5/21) concerning the ACT Masters Hockey selections for the forthcoming Australian Nationals to be held in Newcastle/Wyong/Maitland : Nationals Teams Selections
Two Goulburn sides (including ACT players) competed in the NSW 65’s championships for 2021, held at Wyong on the NSW Central Coast from 26th to the 28th of March.
The Div 1 side narrowly missed out on the four team finals and this being so for the first time in many years. Whilst he Div 2 team remained undefeated, with three draws and a win, thereby being placed in third position on points. There being no semis final, the Div 2’s also miss out on a finals birth.
Players, from both sides, thoroughly enjoyed the competition and the venue, and valued the effort put in by the NSW Masters Hockey to stage the championships in this 2021 ‘covid year’.
